Well, i've finally decided to go all friends-only.
If you haven't been scared away by my profile and would like me to add you to my friends list please throw a little comment my way...
....bribes, gifts, flattery and Jensen shaped presents are also accepted. :)
(For some strange reason this post doesn't always allow comments so feel free to message me)
Your banner rocks. And so does the X-Files! That's one of my all-time favorites. It's got so much heart. The characters make that show. Chris Carter is so egotistical, thinking that it would be successful no matter who starred in it.
You know, i've only just started getting into the X-Files, i never used to watch it buts its on tv twice a day over here at the moment so i've been watching it whenever i can and i really like it.
I think the cast has an awful lot to do with a shows success. You could have the best team of writers in the world but if the cast dont translate well to the viewers at home watching, its all for nothing.
I love the chemistry between David and Gillian. Have you ever seen Bones? The two leads in that remind me a bit of Mulder and Scully, they have the same sort of banter between them.
I haven't seen Bones, but I've heard of it. ^^
I don't know if I even want to bother watching many of the last X-Files episodes, when it's Doggett and Reyes instead of Mulder and Scully. That just . . . doesn't seem right.
Mulder and Scully weren't in the last episodes then????
I didn't know that, doesn't seem right somehow....
David Duchovny wanted out of the show after the seventh season, so they found a way to write Mulder out. (I'll tell you, if you don't mind spoilers.) Gillian Anderson stayed with the show, but in the last season her character Scully was no longer one of the main agents, and Doggett and Reyes were the investigators instead.
Nope, i don't mind spoilers so feel free to spill the beans... ;)
They had Mulder get abducted by aliens. XD; Scully searched for him through the first half of the eighth season, along with her new partner Doggett, and then they finally found him . . . but he seemed to be dead. They brought him back, but then they had his character take off again, searching for something, because Duchovny did not want to be a regular again. He returned for three episodes in the final season, I think, including the two-parter show finale.
Ooooh thanks for tellimg me that, i had no idea.
I guess having Mulder get abducted by aliens was in keeping with the show at least but i feel that once the cast gets changed around its the kiss of death for most programmes.
My mum was a huge fan of 80's soap Dallas and so i've watched practically every single episode of that at least twice but it kinda run out of steam once characters started coming and going and actors/actresses who were pretty attatched to the show left for various reasons, the last couple of seasons were not the same at all imo.
